Stunning 3/4 length portrait of the Admiral in full uniform&#######xA0; holding a tricorn hat and one hand upon his sword. Marvel of&#######xA0;British portraiture from the period and an important piece of&#######xA0;British Naval history as an account of the senior&#######xA0; figure. Exceptional detail in the attire, face and hands very similar to Joshua&#######xA0;Reynolds portraits and may be a studio piece.

Good&#######xA0;condition for its age, old restoration on forehead. Gilt frame with slip missing across bottom. Large scale and important piece of portraiture from the period.
