Antique Mexican Retablo Oil Painting on Tin, late 1800's, Perhaps SAint Jerome or one of the other church fathers. It is very old and authentic. It has a few small scratches and spots on it, but overall is very beautiful. See the detailed pictures as part of the description. The rendering is quite detailed and clearly the work of a trained artist.

Especially like the way the halo is rendered with 5 stars. Check the details on his hands, face and the lanscape in the background. Might not be Mexican, it came as a pair with a female portrait that looks like it has Greek orthodox symbols. See my other listing for the other retablo.
