Antique Early American Oil Painting PROFILE Portrait 1830s Vintage Handsom Man

This distinctive and distinguished oil on canvas portrait from the first half of the 19th c. Measures 21 5/8" x 17 5/8" and portrays a handsome middle aged gentleman in full profile with stiff, tall collar and terrific wavy gray hair. He is depicted against a beige drapery background on the right with a view of sky-blue on the left and is in nice stable condition with minimal inpaint and expected surface dirt. The stretchers are original with dovetailed construction expected of early examples.
