DESCRIPTION / CONDITION / PROVENANCE. This is a well executed, oil on canvas, portrait painting, in the Orientalist style, of a beautiful partially nude reclining Mediterranean woman. The condition of the painting is very nice, no damage that we can see, some wear, could use a light cleaning. (see photos) This piece and many other paintings to be listed in the next few days, were acquired from a antique dealer in California who closed down his shop about two years ago. We bought a massive lot of framed and unframed paintings, some very old paintings in their original gilt frames, and some newer very nice museum quality reproduction paintings that are not framed.
